21/08/2017 – Open House / Refugees of Tbilisi (EN)

We are at Open House, a community centre for refugees in Tbilissi managed by the UNHCR.

Refugees who come here are from Iraq, Syria, Egypt or Pakistan. Their narratives are very different, but they now have one common point: they live in Georgia, temporarily or for good.

They come at Open House to learn Georgian language and get administrative help. They also find here a comfortable & friendly place where they can meet Georgians as well as other refugees.

Today, a lot of people are interested in the radio workshops. We split in two teams and create two broadcasts:

    • “New Life”, a program about family, education, and food across the cultures

      •  “Human Rights’, a program about being a refugee in Georgia, to listen here :
